This is another common structural problem seen on all types of homes. It is usually a result of the natural shrinking and curing process of concrete. However, sometimes their appearance could be a warning sign of an underlying structural problem that needs immediate attention.
Cracks are sometimes an indication that the foundation is settling. Often times, when the home's base is in poorly backfilled or weak soil, it will start to sag deeper and deeper into the earth. This puts a lot of pressure on the walls, and eventually it can cause them to become weak or brittle in certain areas. It is also common to see the problem on walls that are bowing or leaning into the home as it indicates that there is excessive hydrostatic pressure in the earth.
We can fix: horizontal, vertical, and stair-step cracks.
Epoxy Injection and Piering
To take care of the initial cause of the problem if it's from settlement, our team at Don Kennedy and Sons can install Magnum® push and helical piers around the damaged wall. Next, to fill and seal the crack to make sure that seepage can't get inside, we will make use of an epoxy injection technique. This will involve cleaning the surface of the wall, and then inserting the epoxy material into the opening to fill it up from the earth to the surface. The material cures and hardens quickly.
One of their smaller jobs, but treated with same detail and care you would expect from a larger and more expensive project. Team arrived and we went over my expectations for the work. They asked me to take a look part way through to ensure I was satisfied with how things were being done. And ...

This is a follow up review to our initial job completed on 8/3/2011. The original job supervisor, Ricky, stopped by about 12 months after the job was completed to perform a follow up inspection and to see how the results were standing the test of time. No issues. Don Kennedy and Sons truly stand ...

They solved an issue we were having with water collecting under our home. They trenched around the house, sealed the foundation/footing, installed a drainage system to prevent any collection along the house. Great foundation repair crew.
Jeff Kennedy was great to deal with. He spent the necessary time with us to help us understand the problems with our existing foundation and what would be necessary to repair the foundation. They showed up when they said they would be here, were always courteous, and did great work. We now get ...
