Uneven Pool Decks
If you have a pool installed in your backyard, it is your very own private oasis during the dog days of summer. You take great care to be sure that the water is clean and healthy. However, how much time do you spend maintaining or caring for the concrete that surrounds it? If you are like the average homeowner, the answer is likely "not much."
If you noticed that there are uneven slabs around the decking area, this could be a tripping hazard to you, your family, or to anyone who uses your pool. Think of how often the kids run outside and jump into the water. You wouldn't want them to accidentally trip and get injured in the process. This is why it is so important to act fast when you notice this kind of problem.
Raising Uneven Pool Decks With Polyjacking
When it comes to taking care of the problem effectively and quickly, the experts here at Don Kennedy and Sons make use of a process known as polyjacking.
It involves drilling tiny holes into the surface of the damaged concrete. Next, the polyethylene foam is inserted into the openings. The expansion pressure of the foam helps to push the slab back into place where it belongs. Finally, the drilled holes are filled in and patched over for a smooth, even surface. The entire process doesn't take very long to complete, and the foaming material will be able to fully cure and harden within 15-20 minutes.
